IMU-CET stands for Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test. It is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Maritime University (IMU) for admission to the various undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses in the field of marine engineering and nautical technology. IMU-CET is a great opportunity for students who are looking to pursue a career in marine engineering and nautical technology. The exam provides an excellent platform to showcase their skills and knowledge and get an entry into the world of marine engineering.
The IMU CET 2026 exam date hasn’t been officially released yet by the Indian Maritime University. However, most reliable sources indicate the following tentative date:
IMU CET 2026 Exam: Expected in the 1st week of June 2026
The IMU-CET is conducted twice a year in the months of April and December. Eligibility criteria for appearing in the exam is different for each course. Candidates must have passed 10+2/HSC/Diploma/Graduation in the relevant stream from a recognized university.
The exam is conducted in a computer based test format and consists of multiple choice questions. The questions are based on topics like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, General Knowledge and Aptitude. Candidates have to answer a total of 300 questions in the duration of 3 hours.
The exam is conducted across various cities in India. Candidates need to fill an online application form in order to appear for the exam. After the completion of the exam, the results are declared online on the official website of the university.
