About Us.
Built by Mariners. Created for Future Officers.
- We are not just teachers; we are active seafarers who’ve seen the ocean at its calmest and its wildest.
- We built MNOPTA to fill the exact gap we saw while sailing – the need for real training by real mariners.
- We believe in mentoring, not lecturing. We prepare you for the deck, the engine room, the interviews, and the storms.
- Your dream of becoming a Merchant Navy Officer is not far-fetched – it’s achievable with discipline, guidance, and the right mindset.
- MNOPTA is not a coaching centre. It’s a launchpad where ordinary students transform into extraordinary officers.
Founded by two Master Mariners.
MNOPTA is run by sailing officers, not by a franchise. Different experiences, one shared goal – to guide you better.
Here’s what our directors want you to know.
Capt. Ankur Aggarwal
Director · Master Mariner
Master Mariner with extensive command, safety and sponsorship interview experience.
“Parents ask me first whether I can guarantee a sponsorship. The honest answer is no — and I’d be careful of anyone who says otherwise. What I can tell you is what the company is actually looking for, because I’ve been on that side of the table.”
Capt. Ishan Arya
Director · Master Mariner
Ship Master with extensive experience in vessel command, navigation, safety operations and crew leadership.
“Nobody fails these interviews because they don’t know what a bilge is. They fail because the first serious interview of their life is also the one that decides it. So we make sure it isn’t the first.”
Both directors take sessions themselves.
If you want to speak to one before you pay anything, say so and we’ll put you through.
